I can't believe it is already October. This month is going to be very busy. This Friday is our first Hot Lunch Day. Coming up next week, we have our first field trip to Discover Kidz Farm planned for October 10. It will be a lot of fun. Let's try and get all our permission slips in this week. On October 17, we have our first early dismissal day and on October 19 a non-instructional day. Finally, on October 31, our whole school Halloween parade. Since Halloween will be here in no-time, you might want to start planning your costume now. A new October calendar will be sent home tomorrow and placed in your child's planner pocket.
We have already started some of our October fun with new Halloween themed Math centres in addition to a new collection of October themed books in our classroom library.
We we be learning all about pumpkins and squash as part of our Life Sciences (plants) curriculum and there is still much more to come. Whewww! It is going to be a busy time of year.
