This past month of school has been all about building a classroom community and learning our school rules and expectations (Be SHARP). We read a lot of books and talked about how we could be successful first and second graders. After our discussions, we made backpacks and wrote about the tools we need to be successful. Even though I am not the best photographer, I snapped a quick photo of our hard work. Here it is....

While I had my camera handy, I also took a photo of our daily math calendar wall. Part of our morning routine includes copying our morning message into our planners and completing our daily calendar page in our math binders. So far we have been working on completing our calendar as a whole group, but our goal is to eventually complete it independently. Here is what our whole group calendar wall looks like (our individual page in our binder looks almost identical).

Tomorrow is our first spelling quiz. I hope everyone has been practising their words.
